The First Episode of The Prophet’s Birthday:
Guests: Dr Muhammad Hedayah – Sheikh Abdullah AlsaadI – Sheikh Amr Atteya.
Allah said in Surat Al-Ahzab: “O Prophet (Muhammad)! Verily, We have sent you as witness, and a bearer of glad tidings, and a Warner, and as one who invites to Allah by His Leave, and as a lamp spreading light” (Al-Ahzab:45-46)
It is best we start this special episode by a verse from The Wise Reminder (The Qur’an), read by Sheikh Amr Atteya:
“Allah Sends His Salat (Graces, Honors, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad), and also His angels ( ask Allah to bless and forgive him), O’you who believe send your Salat (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad), and (you should) greet (salute) him with Islamic way of greetings” (Al-Ahzab:56).
“It is He who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it superior to all religions. And All Sufficient is Allah as a Witness. Muhammad, is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrated (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration. This is their description in the Torah. But their description in the Injil (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed that sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the Sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward” (Al-Fateh:28-29)
The presenter asks in the beginning of this episode of The Blessed Memory, when the messenger was born and died, that there are 4 assets to the Muhammadian Personality:
-
He was an orphan and unlettered.
-
He was known to be truthful and honest
-
He worked as a shepherd
-
And in he worked in trading.
What is the heavenly wisdom in having all these features?
Can we also explain to the viewers if it is allowed to celebrate the Prophet Birthday? If so then, how can we celebrate it?
In the name of Allah, prayers and peace on His Prophet. I start with congratulating the Islamic Ummah with the birth of the blessed Messenger. I ask Allah (SWT) to give the Ummah the strength in the memory of his death. This memory is for both his birth and his death. Many don’t know that his death was on the same day as his birth. The question is: Is it allowed to celebrate both events? This question has many aspects and perspectives; we don’t know what the answer would have been had it been asked by his friends. Muslims should follow the messenger’s way of life (Sunnah) and also what his friends learned from him. Did the Messenger celebrate his Birth?
The answer is: Not yearly, but weekly. The proof is in the (Hadith) saying that when he was asked why he used to fast all Mondays, he replied: “That’s the day I was born on.” So if it was right that the Messenger had celebrated that day, we should do so weekly not yearly. The celebration should be in the form of thanking Allah. If Muslims fast on Monday, they do so by following the Messenger’s way and Sunnah. Allah (SWT) said: “He came to existence for the mercy of mankind and all creation.” We should learn that Muhammad is not to be remembered by a doll or a horse made of sugar to be eaten. He is not just a memory. We should change these bad habits. Allah Said in The Holy Book: “Verily, Allah will not change the condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of themselves” (Ar-Ra’d:11)
Some people will not like me telling them not to celebrate the Prophet’s Birthday. At his time, no one celebrated birthdays; not the messenger nor any of his companions, Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman, Ali and the other companions. We have to be sure of the truth of all the Hadiths. Even if we are asked by some if it’s allowed to celebrate the birthday and we reply negatively, some people will still celebrate it. During the last Friday prayers, I met a brother and we began discussing the subject. He called me later and told me that his children had asked him for the traditional sweets and he had told them that he would get it for them but after the date of the birthday, so prophet Muhammad wouldn’t be “just sweets” for them. If you ask me, I’ll say (may Allah help me) that we can celebrate it, but we should also remember it is the day of his death; should we eat sweets during this sad day? And even if I say we shouldn’t celebrate it, people will still do so.
How can we celebrate this day, both of his Birth and his Death?
We can fast on that day as well as the 13th, 14th, and 15th of every month of the Hijri calendar, following the Sunnah. We can celebrate it by fasting and thanking Allah (SWT) for the coming of Muhammad (PBUH) and for being the followers of that great man. We can also celebrate by performing Salat Qiyam (night prayer). The Messenger said: “Whoever fasts a day for Allah’s sake, Allah will keep him away from Hell fire seventy autumns.” So we fast this day, for the sake of Allah and the love of His Messenger. Haven’t we heard Allah’s verse: “Say (O Muhammad to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Al-Imran: 31). So it’s fine to celebrate the day by fasting, praying, giving charity and reading Qur’an. We can have gatherings where scholars can talk about the good qualities of the Messenger, or we can also listen to Qur’an. We don’t want to turn this occasion into a pagan celebration by making dolls and horses, like the practice during the days before Islam, or like in Jesus’ time when Christians turned their religion into paganism. They turned it into associating partners in their worship to Allah. For 700 years, mankind lived in wrong doings, until the generous Messenger came and brought people out from worshiping idols to worshiping the Most Gracious.
The presenter asked: Could you explain to us the honors or the sanctity that Allah bestowed on His Prophet Muhammad? We read the Qur’an that joined with Allah’s name, the messenger’s name in the Shahada (declaration of faith) and in the Azan (call for prayers): “He who obeys the Messenger, has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you as a watcher over them”. Also: “But honor, power and glory belong to Allah and to His Messenger, and to the believers” and “Verily those who give pledge to you, they are giving pledge to Allah”?
Firstly, we don’t say Honors but Sanctity as so many people have praised and honored the Messenger. Honor is from life, but Allah Sanctified him; Sanctity is from Allah only. We explain this from the Qur’an. We listen to Sheikh Amr Atteya:
“O Prophet (Muhammad) Verily, We have sent you as witness, and a bearer of glad tidings, and a Warner and as one who invites to Allah by His Leave, and as a lamp spreading light, and announce to the believers, the glad tidings, that they will have from Allah a Great Bounty. (Al-Ahzab: 45 – 47). And also: “Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He is anxious about you, for the believers he is full of pity, kind, and merciful. But if they turn away, say (O Muhammad) Allah is sufficient for me . La Ilaha Ila Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He) in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne”. (At-Taubah: 128 – 129).
With Allah’s Grace, Sanctity is much more than Honor. Let’s take it from the Qur’an. We look at the Messenger’s names in the Qur’an and how he was called the ‘honest’ and the ‘trustworthy’ before he was sent with Islam. Even Quraysh disbelievers swore to this; they trusted him with their money. They could not trust Abu-Jahl with their money. Disbelievers used to drink wine and they might forget what people gave them for safekeeping. When Muhammad left Mecca to Madinah, he left Ali (RA) behind him to give back all what was kept with him. We said before in the Episode of Hijra that Muhammad did not migrate to Madinah, but he was driven out of Mecca. Allah Sanctified the Messenger’s brain, “Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred” (Al-Najm:2). And Sanctified his tongue “Nor does he speak of (his own) desire” (Al-Najm-3). And Sanctified his Sharia’a, “It is only a Revelation revealed” (Al-Najm:4). And Sanctified his Teacher, “He has been taught by one mighty in power (Jibril “Gabriel”). One free from any defect in body and mind then he (Gabriel in his real shape as created by Allah) rose and became stable. While he was in the highest part of the horizon, then he approached and came closer, and was at a distance of two bows length or (even) nearer” (Al-Najm:5-9). In these verses Allah described Jibril the Revelation Holder and moving the Revelation from Heaven to the Messenger. And He Sanctified Muhammad’s heart (Fouad), “(The prophet’s) heart lied not in what he saw” (Al-Najm:11). “Fouad” here means the area where the heart is. Poets used the two words as synonyms. Yet, to prove that they are not, there is evidence in the verse, “And the heart (Fouad) of the mother of Moses became empty (from every thought, except the thought of Moses). She was very near to disclose his case (that he is her son), had We not strengthened her heart (with Faith), so that she might remain as one of the believers” (Al-Qasas:10). If Allah Sanctified the Fouad, so how about the heart? He Sanctified it from dispute and arguing, “Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad) about what he saw (during his ascend to the seven heavens)” (Al-Najm:12). When the Messenger spoke, he always said the truth, as what happened in the event of the night journey and the ascent to the seven heavens(Israa and Miraj). When people asked Abu Bakr about what Muhammad said, he replied saying: “If Muhammad said that, it must be true and we don’t dispute it.” Allah sanctified his sight, “The sight of (Prophet Muhammad) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond the limits (ordained for it).” (Al-Najm:17). And Sanctified what he saw, “Indeed he (Muhammad) did see the Greatest Signs, of his Lord” (Al-Najm:18). So Allah sanctified him with words that will not change till the day of Reckoning. Also Allah sanctified him in Surat Al-Qalam: “And verily, you (O Muhammad) are on an exalted (standard of) character” (4).
The prophet’s wife, our Sister and Mother Aisha, described him: “His character was the Qur’an. He was a walking Qur’an.” Here we have to stop at her sayings. She meant that he followed Allah’s Book and never turned away from it. He applied the Quran, as it should be. We should ask ourselves: Are there any faults in the Qur’an? The answer is surely not at all. So we say that that’s how the Messenger’s character was; with no faults at all. As if our mother Aisha did not only wish to praise the Messenger, but also to ask and guide the nation to follow the Messenger’s character. He is perfect, like the Quran is. Whoever wants to have perfect manners and character, should follow the Messenger. He is not just a poem or praise to be told in celebrations; he is more than that. He was a walking Qur’an with guidance and perfect manners among people, “Alef-Lam-Mim, This is the Book, whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those are Al-Muttaquin (the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much)” (Al-Baqara:1-2). “The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for man kind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion (between right and wrong)” (Al-Baqarah:185).
The Incident of (Opening the chest):
The presenter asks about this incident and if there was a relation between it and the sanctity of the Messenger by Allah.
There was a lot of talk about this incident; some rejected it and some accepted it. We take this story from the Messenger’s sayings as it came in the authentic Sunnah books. It was mentioned in many Seera books like Ibn Hisham and Al-Tabary, but we must take this story with actual reassurance. We say, for example, when a body part like a liver, kidney or heart fails, we go to the hospital and have a transplant, though we never hear of anyone going to a hospital to have a conscious transplant or have an artificial transparency. However, when we read the Qur’an, we find in surat Al-Ahzab: “Indeed in the Messenger of Allah, you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the meeting with) Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much” (21). We ask if this incident was just for Allah to remove envy and hate from the Messenger’s heart? I personally believe this Hadith, but I say if that was what was meant, Allah (Blessed and High above all Be) can remove hate and envy from the messenger’s heart without opening it. Scholars were divided into some who didn’t believe it and some who said it explains the verse in Surat Ash-Sharh, “Have We not opened your breast for you (O Muhammad)” (1). I say neither this nor that. This incident was to teach us how to rid ourselves from hate and envy. No Angel will come to remove it from our hearts. So what can we do? It is as if the Messenger has told us this story so each one of us would do it himself and remove hate and envy from his own heart.
The Incident as it came in Hadith.
When Muhammad was an infant, he lived with Halima As-Saadeya. One day the children came to her and asked her to go get Muhammad. The Messenger said that two men came and opened his chest, took his heart out and washed it in a bowl full of wisdom and conviction, (though we don’t say that this bowl was of gold or as some might say it ought to be made of diamonds or likewise). We only take what’s important to the nation. In some stories, they say the angel held a black fragment and said: “this is the devil’s share in you” and then he threw it away (narrated by Al-Bukhary). It was also said that one angel told the other to weigh Muhammad. When he weighed him, he placed on the other pane a single person, Muhammad’s pane dropped. Then he kept increasing the weight on the other pane, from one to ten to one hundred, to one thousand. He then said, “by Allah, even if we place the whole nation on the other pane, Muhammad’s pane will drop. This is a great and deep meaning. It means that Muhammad is greater than anything.
“Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much” (Al-Ahzab:21). An example (Oswa) is other than a role-model (Kodwa). (Oswa) is the example to follow precisely but (Kodwa) is to follow or not to follow. In this incident, we have to follow it’s meaning and rid ourselves from envy and hate.
The presenter asked about the Splitting of the Moon Incident and if there was a relation between it and the Messenger’s Sanctity.
Allah says, “The Hour has drawn near and the moon has been cleft asunder”. That incident which happened during his time was a seen miracle. But what’s important is “the Hour has drawn near”, since 1425 years, it was near and the Messenger said, “I was sent and the Hour like these and he pointed to his fingers. The nation should work on getting ready for that Day.
A Doaa (Prayer) from sheikh As-Saady:
“Thanks be to Allah whom we ask non other but Him. If we ask any but Him he would never answer us. Thanks be to Allah, to whom we submit Him, Allah is Generous to us, He does not surrender us to others so they would humiliate us. O Allah Pray on our lord Muhammad, whom his birth was the spring of our lives, he was obedient to his Lord, listener to the Qur’an, best speaker among men. He was the best in fasting, the best in praising Allah and the best in doing Hajj and Umra. He was the best in enjoining Islamic Monotheism and forbidding Polytheism. O Allah, Pray on our Prophet Muhammad, when the stars appear, when the clouds intertwine, when the light appears, when the day and night follow each other in succession. O Allah, pray on Muhammad, the healer and the medicine of our hearts and bodies, the light of our eyes. O Allah, pray on our beloved Muhammad, our intercessor, the kind and merciful, who told us about his Generous Lord: Allah Sends a hundred thousand remedy with every breath, and peace be upon him. O Allah, Protect us by Your unsleeping Eyes and Grant us Your protection. O Allah, Hide our faults, Relieve our illnesses and Cure our sicknesses. Have mercy on our departed and destroy our enemies. O Allah, Keep us safe and Protected us like You Protect your faithful worshipers. O Lord, I’m the young whom You brought up, I’m the poor whom You made rich, I’m the weak whom You gave strength, I’m the feeble whom You gave victory, I’m the one who was not shy of You in secret and did not watch You in public. I’m the one with great mistakes, I’m the one who took his Lord for granted, I’m the one whom You covered yet I was not shy. O Lord, beautify us with Your cover and forgive our complaints with Your generosity. You the best cover and Wisest Ruler, the Best Giver, Whom He Knows the unknown. Forgiving our sins with Your Patience. Thank you for Your Patience and Forgiveness. O Allah Pray on and bless our Prophet Muhammad, his family and friends and peace.
The Names of the Messenger in the Quran:
Strange enough, when we talk about Allah’s Messenger, we not only find his names, but the names of all who surrounded him, as signs: His mother’s name Amena ( Peaceful), the carrier of peace for the world came from her. His father’s, Abdullah (slave of Allah), he was born in a time where most names where (slave of Ellat or slave of Oza) pagan idols names, so Muhammad was to be the son of a slave of Allah. His father was the second person to be slaughtered after Isamil (Ishmael). Muhammad used to say, “I’m the son of the two slaughtered sons, Abdullah and Ismail.” The story in short: The Messenger’s grandfather Abdul-Mutaleb made a promise that if he had 10 sons, he would slaughter one of them as a gratitude to the gods. At this time, they used to choose their luck by arrows. Each time he pulled an arrow, it was Abdullah’s arrow. One of his brothers suggested going to a fortuneteller to find a solution. She told him to try his fortune with 100 Derham, and keep increasing the value till Abdullah’s arrow doesn’t come out. He kept trying till he reached 10000, so he gave the money away and did not kill his son. Abdullah used to have light in his face. On his way to his wedding to Amena, he met a woman who tried to seduce him, but he rejected her. He met her again after his wedding, but she kept away from him and when he asked her why, she replied that he lost that light.
The servant who used to help Amena during her pregnancy was called Baraka (Blessings). For this baby, will come with blessings to the whole world. The first woman who breastfed him was called Thowayba (from the great reward). Then Halima As-Saedya (from forbearance and happiness). So all these names were not a coincidence, but Allah wanted them. The Messenger also was born in the month of Rabee Al Awal (Spring). He was born in Makkah, the best place in the world to Allah. Jesus (peace be upon him) predicted his forthcoming: “And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary said: “O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Torah before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. But when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: “This is plain magic”. (As-Saff:6). Some Christians object that ‘Ahmad’ is not ‘Muhammad.’ So why did it come Ahmad not Muhammad in the Qur’an? Muhammad in the Arabic language is the object of the noun Al-hammd (Thanks), but Jesus told of his forthcoming before he was born. Ahmad means (he will thank Allah the best way), in the future tense. In the Qur’an we find the first word after “In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful” is “Alhamdu-Lillah”, (All the praises and thanks be to Allah). The name Muhammad is from Al-hammd. When Jesus spoke about him, he could not say Muhammad (object), so Allah chose a name to suit Jesus’ time, taken from Al-hammd. The prophecy of Jesus meant: a messenger is coming after myself called Ahmad (more thankful to our Lord). So if he comes he is Ahmad and if he thanks Allah he is Hammed (thanking) and on the Day of Judgment he is Mahmoud, (thanked Allah in the best way).
The Messenger said: I am Ahmad, Muhammad, Al-Aqueb (no one to come after him) and Al-Hasher (people will gather at his feet on the Day of Judgment). As for Taha and Yaseen, these are not names of the Messenger, but letters in the beginning of two Surahs in the Qur’an. “Ta-Ha, We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad) to cause you distress” (Ta-Ha:1-2). Allah never addressed the Messenger in the Quran with his names; He always addressed him by ‘O you the Messenger’ and ‘O you the prophet’ When the name Muhammad was mentioned, it was in statement, not in addressing him: “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the of the prophets. And Allah is Ever All-Aware of everything” Al-Ahzab:40). Or, “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.” (Al-Fateh:29). So we should not call our children with the names Taha or Yaseen, but choose names like Ahmad, Muhammad, Mahmoud. When we read Surat Taha or Yaseen, we should read the letters separately: Ta-Ha, Ya-Seen. Later, we’ll explain these letters in the Quran. There are 16 interpretations from scholars and 22 linguistic interpretations. I say these letters are of the Holy Qur’an secrets and they’re to protect it
A poem by Ahmed Shawky to praise Muhammad:
The guidance was born, so the creatures filled with light.
The mouth of time smiled and praised,
Allah gave heavens glad tidings, so they
Became beautiful and perfume filled the deserts.
How to pray on the Messenger, from Allah, the angels and Moslems?
Allah says in Surat Al-Ahzab: “Allah sends His Salat (Graces, honors, Blessings, Mercy) on the Prophet (Muhammad), and also His angels (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting.” (56). Some words in the Arabic language have to be added to another, so the meaning depends on what was added to it. Allah’s prayers are different from the Angel’s prayers. Allah’s prayers are mercy on the messenger, and from the Angel’s, it is prayers to Allah to have mercy on Muhammad. Our prayers are also to ask mercy from Allah to have mercy on Muhammad. When the Messenger said [Religion is Advice], they asked: “To whom O messenger of Allah?” He said “To Allah, His messenger, His book, scholars and Moslems. We learn in this Hadith that Allah’s advice is to listen to His Orders in the Qur’an and to obey them. But the Messenger‘s advice is to follow his Sunnah. The Book’s advice is by reading the Qur’an to learn from it. The scholars’ advice is to teach Islam to the Ummah and to simplify it and make it easy for Moslems to follow it. So in short we should obey Allah’s orders, follow the Qur’an, Sunnah and scholars. How do we pray on him? The Messenger’s followers went to ask him after they heard the verse, “Allah sends His Salat on the Prophet, and also His angels. O you who believe! Send your Salat on him, and greet him with the Islamic way of greeting”. They asked: “How do we pray on you?” He replied: Say O Allah, Pray on Muhammad and his family like You prayed on Ibrahim and his family. You Are Glorious and Worthy of all Praise. O Allah, Bless Muhammad and his family like You blessed Ibrahim and his family. You are Glorious and Worthy of all Praise. It’s known when the Messenger’s name is mentioned, we say prayers and peace be upon him, or Allah’s Prayers on him. We should say (Allahum’a) O Allah, Pray on Muhammad. So we pray to Allah that He prays on Muhammad. Like we pray for Muhammad, we should not forget to praise Allah whenever His name is mentioned, we can say: Glory be to Him and Exalted be He above all, or
None has the right to be worshiped but Allah, or Blessed be His name. When we move and pray on Muhammad when his name is mentioned, our hearts and lips should also move when Allah’s Name is mentioned by Glorifying Him.
Praise from Sheikh Amr Atteya:
O You chosen one, what can I say in praising you? Light and mercy for the believers, your Lord called you Muhammad in the Qur’an. The Messengers called and predicted your coming. The most gracious angels prostrated behind you. No Poet could count your graces. Allah’s Prayers are continuous on you, then peace on you, O Guiding star. O Lord, give us intercession and make your Book a witness on us. Oh Allah, Pray on Muhammad and Bless him.
In the end, the presenter asked about (Al-Shafaa’ – Intercession), (Al-haud – the prophet’s basin), (Al-kawthar – a river that Allah gave for the prophet in Paradise).
Dr Hedaya replied that he’d go through these subjects in details in the next episode, InshaAllah. We’ll start by talking about Intercession (Al-Shafaa). Most of the scholars differed about it and there are books in this subject that can fill a library. In the honored Hadith: “If you hear the (Azan) call for prayers, repeat what is said then pray on me and ask Allah the (Wasilah) for Muhammad, whoever does that will have my Intercession.”. Wasilah, as described by the prophet, is a degree in Paradise only for slaves of Allah. The Hadith teaches us to repeat what the Moazen says except when he says “Come to prayers! Come to success! We say: There is no strength or power save by Allah. So when we ask Allah Wasilah for the Messenger, we are promised his intercession. And in this occasion of the Messenger’s Birthday, we have to follow his correct Sunnah from sayings, deeds and doings. In the end I ask Allah to make this memory a blessed beginning for all Muslims and we ask Allah’s victory for our brothers everywhere, in Iraq, Palestine, Chechnya and Kashmir. Remember Allah’s verse, “O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm.” We must understand the meaning of “If you help Allah” and I finish by saying Allah’s Victory is near.
Interruption— The presenter, Mr. Kotby, talks about so many letters and calls to the program about Fatwas and Hadith that Dr Hedaya mentioned in his talk; some people said they disagree with other scholars in other programs like :
1- It’s not right to read Quran for dying persons, especially Surat Ya-seen.
2- His talk about (Hoor Al-Ain) very fair females created by Allah as such not from the offspring of Adam, with intense black irises of their eyes and intense white scalars.
3- The Fatwa for bank interest. Can Dr Hedaya explain these points to the viewers?
First, I said in the beginning of these episodes that we would not mention a weak Hadith. I don’t describe who does that of being a scholar. I say better refer to the authentic Hadith. Let them bring one book of these Hadith to prove that we should read (Ya-seen) on a dying person. It is not mentioned in Books of Bokhary, Moslem, Imam Ahmed or Al-Bihaky. It’s not even in Al-Saheeh or Al-Hasan. Insha Allah, when we go back to Death episodes in the coming weeks, I’ll bring Sheikh Al-Albany’s book that everyone agreed that he was the only one who could tell the difference between authentic and weak Hadith. He has a book series in them. We’ll show on the screen the book, InshaAllah, to prove to all that this Hadith does not exist. I’ll obtain another book where this was mentioned; in it, Al-Ashyakh (elders) said so and so. Who are those elders? We only take from the Sunnah of Allah’s Messenger. I also add that there’s a verse in Surat Ya-seen that we should not read on a dying person: “This is Hell which you were promised” (63). The Messenger never read it on any of his dead or dying friends when he visited them. If he did, we would’ve found it in Sahah’s book. Let them show us where they found those books.
Secondly, on the Hoor Al-Ain, subject. I’ll say my opinion InshaAllah in the Paradise Episode. People with no knowledge talk about it and describe them for men only. We’ll talk about this according to the Qur’an and authentic Hadith.
Third, for Bank Interests: Some say it’s allowed with no proof and some say it’s not allowed and make it difficult for the nation. InshaAllah we’ll work hard on this subject when we finish our research by the end of June, we’ll offer the result to the viewers. In our research, we contacted so many scholars in Religion, Finance and banking.
This episode was shown on 2nd May 2004.
